Because we believe in you

FCC awards private scholarships on a year-round basis. The funds for these scholarships are provided by FCC's operating revenues.

PROJECT FASHION SCHOLARSHIP

This is for contestants winning the Project Fashion Competition. These scholarships may range from $250 to $19,000. To receive this scholarship the applicant must pass a series of fashion related tests and create a design that is judged by a panel of fashion industry experts to be marketable for the target market chosen.

To remain eligible for this scholarship, the recipient will be held to the same policies and requirements as the College's other scholarships.

GAY PRIDE SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship is awarded to eligible applicants who attend GayPride Week events sponsored by FCC. The applicant must apply using the college’s private scholarship process. The scholarship is valued at $4000. Scholarship monies will be applied toward tuition only and the award is dependent on the balance of need after financial aid is calculated. If a student who receives a scholarship drops his/her program of enrollment, or takes a Leave of Absence, the scholarship is forfeited. For the scholarship to be applied to the student’s account, the student must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 each quarter or better and graduate from the program.

MERITOUS SCHOLARSHIP

FCC awards private scholarships on a year-round basis. Degree students are eligible for up to $9,000 in private scholarships throughout their program and Certificate students are eligible for up to $4,500. All scholarships are merit-based. Degree students are eligible for $1,000 every 10-week session if their quarterly GPA is between a 3.5 and a 4.0 and/or $500 if during that same 10-week quarter they achieve Perfect Attendance. Certificate student’s eligibility is based on the same GPA and Perfect Attendance criteria outlined above, however their award amounts will be pro-rated based on their quarterly credits completed.

Scholarships for Degree and Certificate students will be awarded on a 10-week quarterly basis (ie: Spring I and Spring II combined). Eligible students who begin their program at the mid-point of a 10-week quarter (ie: Spring II) will be awarded 1/2 of the eligible scholarship during the first 5 weeks of study. If the student meets the eligible criteria again in their last 5 weeks of program study they will be eligible for 1/2 of the quarterly scholarship as well.

Scholarship monies will be applied toward tuition only and the award is dependent on the balance of need after financial aid is calculated. If a student drops his/her program of enrollment, they are entitled to receive all prior awarded scholarship monies as long as they still have a financial need as described above.

FCC does not provide institutional loans or institutional grants.
