Gold Rush
November 2004
By James Reed

Graduating students from Fashion Careers College presented their runway creations at the 18th Annual Golden Hanger Awards Gala “Fashion Fusion”, benefiting Make-A-

Wish Foundation. The show surprised, showing off techniques the students had learned while at FCC in designs that stretched from Tinkerbell-inspired to Geisha-sexy. Even Donatella and Jean Paul Gaultier would have been impressed by the fashion that trounced down the runway. It was a complete departure from the mainstream as half-naked men and plenty of scantily clad women made appearances. The energy of the show couldn’t be denied, especially when the students took to the runway for their final bows- some of the designs may be works in progress, but the fashionista wave they have down perfectly.
