Evening Program Dean/Student Activities Director/Instructor
Position Description - As the Evening Program Dean, Tanya McAnear is responsible for the hiring and scheduling of instructors, managing student schedules, and coordinating all activities and aspects of the certificate programs. Her role as an instructor includes teaching and preparing for classes. In addition, she plans and coordinates all student activities as the Student Activities Director.
Background Info - Tanya obtained her AA in Fashion Business from FCC. Internships include Fashion Forward, Pam Wilson Productions, & Old Globe/Bob Mackie Fashion Event. Retail Jobs include Oaktree menswear, Cache, Le Bel Age, White House/Black Market, Agency director for Nina Blanchard & New Face Division, Assistant Fashion Show Producer for Fashion Forward, Director for Nouveau, Fashion Show Producer & Visual Merchandising Coordinator for Chula Vista Center.
Fashion Passion - Passionate about both local and international fashion, Tanya loves people watching and pop culture. Particularly, she enjoys watching new designers emerge and their impact on the industry.
FCC Spirit - Tanya loves that FCC is like one big happy family and that the intimate class sizes give her the opportunity to get to know the students. She also enjoys teaching and the challenges that come with it.
